The IE-CHI, or the Inland Empire Community Health Initiative, is a non profit agency serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties who supports comprehensive health insurance coverage and access to quality healthcare services.

The IE-CHI with the support of a dynamic board of directors and advisory council work together to support communities within the IE by providing:
- Education on various health topics through social media, forums and presentations to the community
- Advocacy at the local, county and state level
- Research on social determinants of health impacting various communities with an emphasis on Rural communities
- Outreach, Enrollment, Retention and Utilization regarding healthcare services through medicaid, medicare and Covered California

From Our Interim Executive DirectorWelcome to the IE-CHI’s website! This is the best place to find health focused information, resources, educational programs, enrollment support, cutting edge research and current advocacy activities at the local, regional and national levels.
The IE-CHI is committed to continuing the work with partners, regionally and statewide, to ensure that all Inland Empire residents have access to health coverage and quality, affordable and culturally sensitive access to care.
The Advocacy Task Force will continue working with Regional, State and National legislators to educate Leaders on the vital need for “health coverage for all” and the dire results of health care fiscal reductions. The annual Legislative Forum occurs each March to highlight current health challenges and legislative driven solutions.
The Rural Health Task Force is concluding the 2025 updated rural health report and will continue to research the most urgent and unaddressed health issues.
To support health coverage and care The IE-CHI, in partner with the State CHI and other regional CHIs, is implementing a 5-year CMS grant -based program to ensure children, families and pregnant persons receive health coverage and access to care through 2030.
Health Education programs include quarterly Health Education Forms, Health Literacy workshops and the Advocacy Academy.
